A craftsman and his tools
There is always a lot of discussion on the web about the tools we use to perform our craft. Windows vs OSX, Photoshop vs Fireworks, WordPress vs ExpressionEngine etc. The truth is, the only thing that matters is that you are comfortable with your tools and know them well enough to do your best work.

North London meet-up for web folk
Towards the end of last month I attended Croydon Creatives. I had a great time and it was fun to meet some like-minded people for a change, and I will definitely be making the effort to attend regularly in the future. Recently I’ve been contemplating the future of browser support. Currently, in terms of internet explorer I support versions 7, 8 and 9. Version 6 gets a typography stylesheet and nothing else. But when will we stop supporting IE7? Do we even need to?

Beyond typography
Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock in the middle of a desert somewhere the chances are you’ve heard people referring to the web as 99% typography. Of course this is mostly correct and typography is very important. But what about the other aspects of design? Layout and colour theory?
